Nimbo is published by GANIKHODJAYEV KHASAN ASKAROVICH, YATT. The app has no account, advertising, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or background location. This policy was last checked against the app implementation and provider terms on August 28, 2026.
Forecast and place-name data
Location is optional. If chosen, coordinates are reduced to two decimal places before storage or a network request and sent to Open-Meteo over HTTPS. The device’s Android or iOS reverse-geocoding service may turn the reduced coordinates into a displayed city and country; that platform service may process the request over the network under its own terms. City search works without permission; the search text is sent to Open-Meteo’s geocoding service over HTTPS. Nimbo does not maintain a location trail.
Open-Meteo processing
Open-Meteo says Free API logs may contain IP addresses, requested coordinates, and request URLs for troubleshooting and abuse prevention, and that individual log files are deleted after 90 days. Nimbo does not send an account ID, advertising ID, or other user identifier. Open-Meteo’s current terms and privacy notice are at open-meteo.com/en/terms.
On-device storage and retention
Nimbo stores up to ten selected places, cached weather and air quality, short-lived forecast snapshots, unit and theme preferences, and refresh metadata locally. Weather rows are kept for at most 8 days in the past and 11 days in the future; forecast snapshots are kept for 14 days. Widgets and a paired watch receive a compact current-weather copy without an identifier. Cloud/device backup is disabled on Android; on iOS, a system backup may retain app data under the user’s Apple settings, and the user controls removal of those backups in Apple settings.
Tracking, sharing, and reviews
Nimbo does not sell data, build advertising profiles, or track people across apps or websites. Open-Meteo processes approximate location and city-search requests only to return results and operate its API. An Apple- or Google-owned review prompt is requested only after at least three successful foreground forecasts on two different local days and while useful forecast content is visible. A successful platform request is recorded at most once per app version; if the Store API cannot launch, the attempt remains eligible for retry. Review text is not returned to Nimbo or stored by the app.
Your choices and contact
You can decline location and use city search, change the selected place, revoke permission in system settings, or uninstall Nimbo to remove local data. Provider-log questions or deletion requests must go to the Open-Meteo privacy contact because Nimbo has no account or identifier that can locate a log entry.
